About Me

At 20, I was a CA aspirant.

At 21, I was working in sales at Zomato, one of the coolest startups at the time.

I hated my job with a burning passion.

So naturally, I made the very sensible decision to quit and take up a ₹9,000 internship at MTV in Mumbai.

Very financially responsible of me.

Why?

Because I genuinely believed I was creative. I had no idea what that meant, but I knew I wanted to be on a set.

Also, I didn't become a writer because I loved words.

I became one because I couldn't do math.

That ₹9,000 internship somehow changed my entire career.

I went on to work on marketing for TVF shows, including Kota Factory, ImMATURE, Humorously Yours 2, and Insiders.

Then came advertising agencies, a ridiculous amount of copywriting, and eventually a return to Zomato.

This time, as a creative under Chandan Mendiratta.

Full circle, but with fewer sales targets.

Eventually, I went on to lead brand and editorial at Amazon.

Today, I'm a Creative Director.

And I genuinely believe advertising is the best job in the world.

You literally get paid to think of ideas. How is that even a real job?

I hate the words "viral" and "quirky," but absolutely love it when someone comments, "Writer deserves a raise."

Looking back, none of my career decisions made sense on paper.

But somehow, they all worked out.
